1905 < Establishment of the Central Acetylene Office (OCA)
inaugurated by Marcelin Berthelot on 15th December 1906
1909 < First practical course on autogenous welding. First issue of the Revue de la Soudure Autogène periodical (Autogenous Welding Review), which in 1955 was to become Soudage et Techniques Connexes (Welding and Associated Techniques)
1930 < Establishment of the Institut de Soudure Autogène at Boulevard de la Chapelle in Paris.
Creation of the Ecole Supérieure de la Soudure Autogène (ESSA) subsequently renamed Ecole Supérieure du Soudage et de ses Applications in 1985.
1946 < Creation of the Ecole Professionnelle de Soudure (EPS) later to become I'Ecole d'Adaptation aux Professions du Soudage (EAPS) in 1985.
1959 < First major pipeline inspection campaign in North Africa.
1972 < Establishment of the first regional centre at Port-de-Bouc.
2003 < Inauguration of the "Assemblies and Materials" site at Yutz, combining research and training schools.
2009 < Opening of the H2S Corrosion Testing Laboratory in Bangkok (Thailand)
